The general objective of the training is to build the capacities of participants for a better understanding of the Protocol establishing the ECOWAS Brown Card

1. OBJECTIVE OF THE TRAINING

The general objective of the training is to build the capacities of participants for a better understanding of the Protocol establishing an ECOWAS Brown Card relating to Third Party Liability Insurance by providing them with answers :

  • on any questions they may have in relation to the above topic, and,
  • on the ins and outs of the new reforms undertaken by the Council of ECOWAS Brown Card Offices ;
  • the role of the Carte Brune institution in the mechanism for the free movement of people and their goods in the West African sub-region.

2. CONTENT OF THE TRAINING

Revisit the provisions of Protocol A / P1 / 5/82 of May 29, 1982 and Additional Protocol A / SP.2 / 12/01 of December 21, 2001, amending the Protocol relating to the creation of an ECOWAS Brown Card .

Explain the merger of the two Protocols and their adaptation to the changes that have occurred in the life of the ECOWAS Brown Card System :

  • Arrangement of the various articles of the revised Protocol ;
  • Discussion on the difficulties related to the correct application of the provisions of the ECOWAS Brown Card Protocol ;
  • Conclusion of the seminar.

DURATION, PERIOD AND PLACE :

From July 19 to 20, 2016 in COTONOU - Benin.

PARTICIPANTS :

  • Head of National ECOWAS Brown Card Offices ;
  • Agents of National Bureau responsible for claims management ;
  • Agents of Insurance Companies members of National Offices ;
  • Supervisors of the Insurance Departments ;
  • Agents of Automobile Guarantee Funds ;
  • Agents of the TPV Pools.

PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH :

  • Presentations by the Facilitator ;
  • Delivery of a support at the beginning of the Seminar ;
  • Delivery of a certificate of participation.

REGISTRATION FEES :

Registration fees must be paid in cash on site : Two Hundred Thousand (200,000) FCFA or equivalent in US Dollars.
